Sodium hypochlorite generator is the equipment for producing sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis of low concentration chlorine solution on site, which is commonly used in the disinfection and sterilization of bacterial wastewater in hospitals and the treatment of cyanide-containing wastewater in electroplating, and also can be used in the oxidation treatment of other organic wastewater, and the disinfection of small-scale water supply projects where chlorine source (liquid chlorine and bleaching powder) is difficult to be used. Its models and types are very many, different models and types of sodium hypochlorite generator structure is not the same, in this paper, we will choose a few typical sodium hypochlorite generator to do the introduction.

Introduction to the use, specification and structure of sodium hypochlorite generator

Sodium hypochlorite generator is the equipment for producing sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis of low concentration chlorine solution on site, which is commonly used in the disinfection and sterilization of bacterial wastewater in hospitals and the treatment of cyanide-containing wastewater in electroplating, and also can be used in the oxidation treatment of other organic wastewater, and the disinfection of small-scale water supply projects where chlorine source (liquid chlorine and bleaching powder) is difficult to be used. Its models and types are very many, different models and types of sodium hypochlorite generator structure is not the same, in this paper, we will choose a few typical sodium hypochlorite generator to do the introduction.

1、SMC type tubular internal cooling sodium hypochlorite generator

Composition: This device is a small equipment for generating sodium hypochlorite solution by electrolysis of low concentration chlorinated solution on site. The electrolysis tank is closed type, in which SMC-I type is tubular electrode, 12 titanium ruthenium dioxide anode tubes are evenly distributed in the electrolysis tank, and its section is divided into two chambers inside and outside, the outer chamber that is, the electrolysis tank passes through the sodium chloride solution, and the inner chamber (the center tube) passes through the processed wastewater to be cooled, and the outer wall of the outer chamber and the outer wall of the inner chamber is the cathode, and the structure of it is shown in Fig.74A. SMC-II type is bipolar tubular electrode, which is composed of three concentric casing tubes, and is composed of three concentric casing tubes, and the inner wall of the outer chamber and the inner wall of the inner chamber is the cathode, and its construction is shown in Fig.74A. SMC-Ⅱ type is a bipolar tubular electrode, which is composed of three concentric casing, the outer casing is stainless steel, the two inner tubes are iron tubes, coated with ruthenium dioxide on the outer wall, and the three cavities in the cross-section are: the inner cavity (the center tube) is connected with the treated wastewater as the coolant, and the two outer cavities are electrolytic tanks, which are connected with the chlorinated solution, the center tube connects to the power source at the "+" pole, and the outer tubes are connected to the "1" pole, and the center tube connects to the "+" pole. When working, the center tube is connected to the power supply "+" pole, and the outer tube is connected to the " a" pole, due to the role of electrode, the outer wall of the middle casing is the anode and the inner wall is the cathode.  

SMC-I type is equipped with a tube mixer made of plexiglass, which is installed with blades of different rotational directions, the water flow in the mixer through the blades of multiple cuts, constant cross displacements and combinations, to achieve uniform mixing of wastewater and chemicals, the dispersion of the 2^n level (n is the number of blades).  

SMC-II type is equipped with sodium hypochlorite natural circulation tank, brine tank and power rectifier, control equipment, can make sodium hypochlorite continuous production and dosing. 

2、GXQ type sodium hypochlorite generator

Composition: This equipment is actually assembled into a whole sodium hypochlorite generator, including electrolyzer, power rectifier, automatic control device, cooling water and brine system, liquid storage tank and other parts. The electrolysis tank is tubular, multi-tube parallel form, the electrolysis tank body is made of polyvinyl chloride (polyethylene for drinking water disinfection), the anode is titanium tube coated with RuO2TiO2 activation layer, its structure is shown in Fig. 72, the power rectifier is a bridge-type silicon rectifier circuit, the auto-control device includes the operation control and display, overload shutdown alarm and other functions, the external tap water is used as the cooling water for the electrolysis tank, the disinfection solution storage tank is semi-closed, used for the disinfection of liquid tank, and so on. Semi-closed, for drinking water disinfection should increase the polyethylene bushing. The process composition of the generator is shown in Fig. 73, and the operation can be matched with VK-2 automatic cycle program controller of sewage treatment system to form VK72-GXQ automatic control system of bacterial wastewater treatment.

3、SWDI type sodium hypochlorite generator  

Composition: the equipment consists of two components: generator and power rectifier cabinet. Generator components include electrolysis tank and storage tank two parts, are all plastic structure, electrolysis tank for the multi-tube type, the use of metal ruthenium tin iridium iron anode, and there is a cycle of compartmentalized reflux columns, so as to generate sodium hypochlorite solution in the formation of a certain concentration gradient between the compartments, in order to prolong the service life of the anode and the use of the equipment life.

4、MGX type sodium hypochlorite generator 

Composition: This equipment is mainly composed of electrolysis device and power supply silicon rectifier, and is equipped with electrolyte injection and distribution system and cooler and other auxiliary devices, electrolysis tank for the tube-type, with a tube-type titanium anode, for the closed structure.

5、YDJ type hospital sewage purification equipment  

Composition: The main part of this equipment is hypochlorite generator, which is a non-diaphragm electrolyzer with insoluble anode (including wiring electrode and intermediate electrode), anode material YDL100-200 type is micro-platinum intermediate layer titanium lead dioxide electrode, and YDJ-500-1000 type is graphite electrode, and the whole equipment includes hypochlorite generator, power supply and control cabinet, proportioning device and pump, etc. The process composition is shown in Figures 82-83. The composition of the process is shown in Fig. 82-83, which can be used to treat other wastewater with reference to the design of this process.

6、JS type sodium hypochlorite generator 

Composition: The device is assembled into a whole machine by electrolyzer, rectifier, flow meter and liquid storage tank. Electrolysis tank for the tube type double set, titanium alloy anode, by the electrolysis tube, brine valve, cooling water pipe, etc., rectifier by the transformer, rectifier diode, exhaust fan, voltmeter and ammeter composed of the storage tank made of hard polyvinyl chloride with a liquid level indicator.
